Delicious Dips for Watching Football -   The beloved sport has returned to the airwaves. Try these seriously tasty dips. Beats nail-biting!

Gather around the TV because there's a serious NFL season afoot. And no matter which team you root for, you're sure to want some tasty nibbles while you watch the field goals, touchdowns and your favorite football stars zoom towards the end zone.

Make these tasty dips for your family or your football parties — all tried and true by generations of fans.

Dazzling Dip

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
1 pkg. slivered almonds
1 jar Major Grey's Chutney (or any brand of chutney)
1 pineapple

Slice pineapple in half length-wise and scoop out fruit. Mix softened cream cheese with entire jar of chutney. Fill pineapple with the mixture and sprinkle top of dip with the almonds. Serve with crackers. Save the fruit for EATING. Easy and dazzling!

Secret Crab Dip

3 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 lb. crab meat, fresh or canned
1 pinch garlic salt to taste
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp. Dijon mustard, can use up to 2 TBS per your taste
2/3 cup Sauterne wine
2 Tbsp confectioners sugar
Old Bay seasoned salt

Mix all ingredients together and bake in a serving dish at 350 degrees until bubbly. Serve while hot with different crackers. Everyone will want the recipe but remember, it's a secret!

Cowboy Caviar

1 can field peas "Southwestern Style," drained, un-rinsed
2 cans black eyed peas, drained, un-rinsed
1 small can diced black olives
1 1/2 red onions, chopped
4 ripe avocados, chopped
1 small can diced jalapeños
1 large jar pimentos
1 (8 oz.) bottle Zesty Italian dressing

Combine all ingredients & refrigerate. Serve with tortilla chips. Serves a crowd!

No-Fail Artichoke Dip

2 cans artichoke hearts, whole or quartered
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
1 cup parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp onion, chopped
Garlic to taste
Pepper to taste
Paprika

If buying whole artichoke hearts, chop into quarters and mix with all ingredients except paprika. Put in baking dish, sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until bubbly. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.

Bacon and Swiss Dip

8 slices bacon, cooked then chopped
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp horseradish
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 1/2 cups shredded Baby Swiss cheese (or cheddar)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped smoked or regular almonds

Bake until bubbly at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Top with almonds. Serve with any kind of crackers or bagel chips.
