Your antiques, toys and knick-knacks may have a better use than sitting in your attic. Try listing them on online auction or retailer sites, or for larger, more valuable items, try handing them over to professional dealers or auction houses.

Check to see if you have any in-demand items, such as:
  • '60s era toys, art, costume jewelry or baseball cards
  • Modern-style furniture from the mid 20th century
  • German and French porcelain dolls, as well as regional pottery and glass
If you're confused about the true value of your items, speak with collectors, compare on eBay, hire an accredited appraiser, or consult a professional listing database.

Finally, decide how you wish to sell: via eBay.com or even etsy.com for smaller-value items, or larger antiques dealers or auction houses for higher-value items.
