Dessert in 6 Ingredients or Less

Dive into dessert with these simple recipes in no time flat, all requiring six ingredients or less.

Trouble-Free Tiramisu
(Serves 2)
  • 14 vanilla wafers, divided
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 snack-size cups (3-1/2 ounces each) vanilla pudding
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking cocoa
Set aside four vanilla wafers; crush remaining wafers coarsely. Divide crushed wafer crumbs between two dessert dishes. In a separate bowl, dissolve coffee granules in hot water then drizzle over crumbs. Next, spoon vanilla pudding into the dessert dishes and top with whipped cream.

Sprinkle with cocoa powder and garnish with reserved wafers.

Painless Raspberry Parfait
(Serves 2)
  • 2 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons seedless raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
In a bowl, beat cream cheese and jam until smooth. Gently fold in 1/4 cup whipped cream. Place 2 tablespoons raspberries in the bottom of parfait or dessert dishes. Add a layer of the cream cheese and jam mixture and remaining berries. Top with remaining whipped cream.

Refrigerate until cold and serve.

Mellow Mocha Mallow
(Serves 2)
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/3 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
Set aside 2 teaspoons wafer crumbs for topping. In a saucepan over medium heat combine marshmallows, water and coffee granules, stirring often until marshmallows are melted. Allow to cool completely, and then gently fold in whipped cream.

Spoon 3 tablespoons of marshmallow mixture into each glass; then top with 1 tablespoon wafer crumbs. Repeat layers. Top with remaining marshmallow mixture and sprinkle with reserved crumbs.

Refrigerate well before serving.
