If you're ready to tackle your spring cleaning project, there are a few things to keep in mind to make sure you do the best job possible. Make a schedule. Making a schedule is the first thing that you should do when you're ready to spring clean your home. It's likely that some areas of your house need more attention than others, and making a schedule will help you to spend your time wisely. Remove the clutter. With your schedule made, you should start off your house cleaning project by de-cluttering as much as possible. Go throughout your closets, cabinets, and drawers and get rid of as much junk as you can. Simply clearing your home of unused items will make it seem a lot cleaner. Start at the top. Working from top to bottom is probably the easiest way to spring clean your home. By starting with your ceilings and then moving downward, you'll force dirt and dust to the floor. Not only will this make it easier to clean up, but it will also prevent you from having to clean the same spot twice. Don't forget the windows and walls. Floors get the most attention during spring cleaning, but if you want your home to look its best, you should also give your windows and walls a little TLC. Fortunately, cleaning your windows and walls is actually pretty easy. A damp paper towel is all you need to clean your walls, and most windows can be cleaned with a wet sponge. Make sure you dust first before cleaning your windows and walls or you may end up expending a lot more effort than you need to.
