VR Games of the Future

VR Games of the Future

Virtual reality (VR) is no longer meant for just younger players or those with a lot of money. It has broken through many industry sectors, and you might even experience it in the workforce. VR is also changing the way that video games are played.

The shift in VR games can be attributed to several factors, including headset adjustments. Previously, the price of headsets was a huge detractor for customers wanting to play these types of games. While Sony led the way in producing less expensive headsets back in 2017, other companies plan to follow suit, making their headsets more accessible and affordable. These companies are finding that consumers want portable headsets that are easy to use.

For those gamers who don't want to purchase a VR headset, VR arcades are now commonplace. The target demographic of gamers continues to evolve, but the overall goal is to have the best gaming experience possible. VR arcades give gamers a chance to fully experience VR gaming without having to purchase a headset. Many of these arcades have dozens of VR headsets, and gamers can pay a flat fee to use the headsets for a specific amount of time.

Whether they want to play from the comfort of their own home or in an arcade, VR gamers might enjoy playing one of the following VR games:

  • After the Fall: Created by Vertigo Games, After the Fall is set in the ice-covered ruins of Los Angeles in 1980.
  • The Climb 2: This long-overdue sequel from Oculus Rift has you feeling like you're scaling cliffs.
  • Cooking Simulator: A product of GameBoom VR, this VR game was originally a PC game that allows you to become the ultimate chef.
  • Demeo: Resolution Games is known for its party games but shifts gears with this VR game featuring a dark force that has taken over the underworld.
  • Low-Fi: A cyberpunk adventure from IRIS VR, this VR game sets you up in a highly interactive world and lets you determine what to do with it.

VR games are a great way to escape from reality for a little bit. Try one of these five games of the future to try your hand at conquering different types of tasks.
